Boost for Argyll food producers
An Argyll company is to share in £65,000 of funding from the Scottish Government for projects supporting locally-produced food
and drink. The Argyll Food Assembly, which gathers local producers and provides a direct link to customers, has been awarded £5,000.
Rural Economy Secretary Fergus Ewing MSP said: ‘I’m sure that the success of these producers will help to
bolster regional economies and ensures that local food and drink continues to be produced in the area it originates from – which can be integral to a product’s identity.’
BOWFest 2018 also benefited from £2,000.
