Step back in time with family group
People interested in their family history and genealogy are being invited to join Lochaber and North Argyll Family History Group.
The small, friendly group is always pleased to welcome new faces and hopes to boost its membership.
The group is not just for people with local roots but for anyone with an interest in family history, from beginners to experienced researchers, and people from across the country have attended meetings in the past.
Speakers from around Lochaber and North Argyll provide talks at each meeting, with members also regularly contributing to events.
The group is currently running a project on families who appear in the 1901 Fort William census.
A new session of meetings started on Tuesday with the annual general meeting. The group meets every second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in Fort William Library (back door entrance) from September to May.
