Sequence choir in the pink
Sequence ladies’ choir held a successful evening in the Royal Hotel on September 1 entitled Ladies in Pink.
The venue was a sea of pink as the ladies and gentlemen were adorned with something or everything pink.
Entertainment consisted of soloists Anna Gregory, Lyndsay Wilson and Janet Fergusson, duetists Alison Pringle and Stella Leitch, a quartet ABBA tribute, followed by the choir and a vocal ensemble.
The evening was topped by special male guests Stuart Smith, Ken Oxland and Martyn Harvey who thrilled the audience with their dance moves and rousing singing.
Dance music mixed and delivered by one half of Cosmic Jive, Torquil Fergusson, with a raffle, quiz and singalong completed the evening.
The choir hopes to record an EP and proceeds from the evening will go a long way to cover this.
Raffle money will be donated to Pink Ladies, a local support group for those with breast cancer.
The choir thanks the Royal Hotel for its support and input to the evening.
