❚ At about 10pm on Tuesday September 11, a 49-year-old man was reported for driving a vehicle on Albany Street, Oban, while under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequent­ly arrested and charged with drink driving and appeared at Oban Sheriff Court from custody on September 12.

❚ At about 12.30pm on September 12, a 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with threatenin­g and abusive behaviour following an incident at Glencruitt­en Drive, Oban. He duly appeared from custody at Oban Sheriff Court on September 13.

❚ A number of traffic offences have been detected over the past week.

At 10.50pm on Tuesday September 11, a 31-year-old man was reported for driving offences after being stopped on Shore Street, Oban.

At 9.25am on Thursday September 13, on the A828 at Benderloch, a 40-year-old female was reported in relation to a number of vehicle defects.

❚ Between 11am and 5pm on Friday September 14, a garden fence was damaged on McCalls Terrace, Oban. Police are appealing for witnesses.

❚ Between September 12 and 14, a set of chains were removed from a shed in the Dervaig area of Mull. Officers are appealing for witnesses and are asking that residents remain vigilant of suspicious activity near sheds and outbuildin­gs in rural areas. ❚ At about 3am on Sunday September 16, police officers assisted colleagues from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service following an incident of severe flooding near to the Inveroran Hotel, Bridge of Orchy. A number of people found their campsite flooded and had to evacuate to safety. Fire service and police personnel checked the vicinity to ensure everyone was safe and accounted for. There were no casualties.
