Between 6pm on Wednesday October 3 and 8.20am on Thursday October 4, in Airds Crescent, Oban, two black plastic De Walt Tool Kits containing a variety of tools engraved with the initials ‘GS’ were stolen from a van.

At about 9.30pm on Wednesday October 3, in Longsdale Crescent, Oban, a man aged 63 behaved in an abusive manner. The man was arrested, charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.

On the afternoon of Friday October 5, on the A85 in Taynuilt, a woman aged 21 was driving at excessive speed and had defective brakes on her car. A man aged 36 was also caught allegedly driving at excessive speed and not wearing his seat belt. Both were charged and reports will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Between 5pm on Friday October 5 and 8am on Saturday October 6, the Corachie Clematis Garden Centre at Bridge of Awe was subjected to a break-in where cash and other items were stolen.

Between 5pm on Friday October 5 and 8am on Saturday October 6, the Inverawe Fisheries Shop and the Smokehouse were broken into and a large quantity of pre-packed fish, cash and other items were stolen.

At about 11.30pm on Saturday October 6, in Ellenabeic­h on the Isle of Seil, a 19-year-old man behaved in an abusive manner and assaulted another man. Police arrested and charged the man and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

At about 2.15am on Sunday October 7, in George Street, Oban, a 23-year-old man assaulted another man. Police arrested and charged the man, who was also allegedly found in possession of cocaine. The man was held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
