Have you seen these cheeky little monkeys?

-

Two monkeys are on the loose in Oban and their owner needs help to get them back.

Pamela-Jane Wood left the cheeky little fellas on the railings above George Street beach after taking a holiday snap of the pair on their Scottish break from Clacton-on-Sea.

Ms Wood suddenly realised she was going to be late for her coach, grabbed her coat and ran - leaving the monkeys, who are cousins and called Red Adair and Spekkels Spinky, behind by mistake.

Horrified by what had happened, Ms Wood put out a Facebook appeal on Information Oban for their safe return but so far there has been no news.

One lady offered to go and look on the day they went missing, October 15, but they had vanished.

The monkeys are well-travelled, with Red Adair having his own travelogue which he posts on his Instagram account.

‘Red and Spekkels are due to fly out to Hong Kong in early December, to meet up with Spekkels’ brother Minkey Spinky and their Uncle Cocoa Bean. Then they will be travelling to Malaysia, Indonesia and Bali. It would be so sad if they miss their trip,’ Ms Wood told The Oban Times.

Minkey Spinkey and Uncle Cocoa bean live with Ms Wood’s daughter in Hong Kong and had been looking forward to a family reunion for Christmas.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Red Adair and Spekkels Spinky should email pamela.wood.pjw@gmail.com
