Can you write a Christmas card message from Lochaber ?

-

The Rotary Club of Lochaber in partnership with The Lochaber Times, and with support from Ferguson Transport & Shipping, has plans well in hand for this year’s Christmas Festival at the Nevis Centre in Fort William on Saturday 24th November. Santa’s Grotto, Bouncy Castle and over 70 stalls packed with festive crafts and food products will be ready on the day. Santa, with his sleigh and reindeer, will be arriving at Cameron Square at 10.30 and leaving at 11 am to make his way to the Festival. This is a busy time for Santa and he is looking for two local youngsters aged between 5 and 10 years to help him and to ride in his sleigh from Cameron Square along the Parade Green over to the Nevis Centre, and to wave to the crowds who have gathered to watch the reindeer parade. Last year’s winners were Kayla from Caol Primary and Faolan from Lundavra Primary.

If you would like to help Santa and to ride on his sleigh all you have to do is write a message for a Christmas Card sending greetings to your friends and family. Your message should have between 4 and 8 lines of prose or rhyming verse and the first line could be:- From Lochaber we send you Christmas cheer …

Once you have composed your message, fill in the coupon below with your details and post the coupon and your message to: Santa’s Message Competition, The Editor, The Lochaber Times, 22 High Street, Fort William, PH33 6AT to arrive no later than 9 November. All the entries, including the winning two, will be displayed in the foyer of the Nevis Centre on the day of the Festival and we hope to include the winning two in a special Christmas card in the lead up to Christmas 2019.
