The Lochaber Rotary Club’s Pop-Up Café is joining forces again with local crafters to put on a cracking day of activity at the Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church Hall on Saturday October 27.
The Lochaber Local History Society welcomes its own Bill Cameron, a wellkent teacher and polymath from Inverlochy to speak to his title of The Plaque above the Door.
Bill will present an illustrated history of a family plaque which stood above the door to Nether Lochaber Stores in Onich for more than 135 years.
The talk will include royal connections, the creation of a new clan tartan, some history of old Onich and an unlikely connection with San Francisco. All welcome at the Ben Nevis Hotel, Thursday November 1 at 8pm.
Friends of Nevis is holding its AGM on Friday November 2 at Glen Nevis Restaurant at 6.30pm. The short meeting will be followed by a talk by a representative of the John Muir Trust.
