VIEW FROM THE CHAMBER
If you’re in business, you’ll no doubt spend a lot of time thinking about how to grow your enterprise and increase your markets.
But have you thought of developing your business internationally?
Increasing the ‘internationalisation’ of Scottish business is one of the Scottish Government’s key areas for growth and it is not something that is just for big business. International trade is a huge area for growth in the Highlands and Islands across a wide range of industries and company sizes.
Whether goods or services, Lochaber has fantastic potential to grow our businesses into international enterprises.
This could mean anything from selling postcards online to exporting tonnes of timber: international trade is something that all companies can and should consider.
With this in mind, Lochaber Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the Navigating International Trade seminar during Lochaber Ideas Week 2018.
With Brexit now only months away, the seminar led by international trade expert Ewan Ramsay will consider the implications of the most likely forms of Brexit, explore the challenges and opportunities on offer and hear from local businesses which have already taken the plunge.
We’ll also be joined by representatives from HIE, Enterprise Europe and the Highlands and Islands Local Export Partnership to make sure you are aware of the breadth of support available to all businesses in Lochaber.
This free event is open to everyone.
