TAYNUILT

-

Donation boxes will be placed around Taynuilt in a bid to fund repairs to the village hall.

So far, boxes have been placed in the post office and Graham’s Grocers.

In an online appeal, resident Gary Brown said: ‘The hall committee is trying to raise money to have the interior painted as it currently resembles a Minions’ playground.

‘We were forced, however, to redirect a good deal of the funding

to pay for the roof repairs which was in the region of £900.

‘We are reaching out to you, the community, to assist with the bill for the roof repair.

‘We intend to have charity buckets in different establishments throughout the village.

‘The buckets will be visible and clearly marked and we would ask you to consider donating your loose change or whatever you feel you can afford.

‘Remember, this is your village hall.’
