So many people are living in isolation in this day and age

A person has to realise that life is not all about money. To that end, if tourism does bring in money to a section of the islands, it also has a damaging effect.

However, we do not really communicate with visitors as such because we do not have a common denominator and, as we don’t know each other’s background, we struggle to converse.

We have never had so much by way of communication tools but nor have we ever had so many living in isolation, with no daily human contact. Aonghas Eoghainn Mhoir.
