Return to normality

-

At risk of painting myself as a festive season miserablist, I’m glad to return to something resembling normality following the holiday period.

While I am, in fact, a great fan of Christmas, I’m always rather pleased when it’s all done and dusted, the decorations are down and the tree put away for another year.

It has been a brilliant winter break, with countless parties and children’s shows, Oban looking very festive with its decorated windows at a large number of businesses and a splendid panto in the Corran Halls. Top marks go to those involved in organising the numerous events.

Perhaps the biggest vote of thanks, however, should go to Lorraine MacCormick and her team at Hope Kitchen who turned out on Christmas Day to provide a fantastic dinner for the less fortunate among us.
