Ruaridh named Glengarry players’ player of the year
Glengarry Shinty Club held their annual Players’ Player of the Year awards night recently for the 2018 season.
The winner of the prestigious award was Ruairidh MacDonald, who was presented with the Johnnie MacDonald Memorial Shield by chairman Scott Bremner. David Rodgers was named as the most improved player for season 2018.
The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all at the club following a lovely meal at The Bothy, Fort Augustus. Earlier the same afternoon, the draw took place for the Christmas hamper, which was won by Kyle MacKinnon with Gary Paterson and Emma MacKinnon winning smaller hampers. This was an excellent fundraiser and the club wish to thank all members for donating towards the contents and those who spent so much time making sure most of the tickets were sold.
