Theft of purse PO­LICE FILES

Sho­plift­ing

At about 1.30pm on Thurs­day Jan­uary 3, at Tesco in Oban, a man aged 63, stole a num­ber of items. Po­lice at­tended and the man was charged and is­sued with a recorded po­lice warn­ing.

Dam­age

At about 3am on Sun­day Jan­uary 6, on the A85 near Taynuilt, an un­known ve­hi­cle col­lided with a BT tele­graph pole caus­ing dam­age and dis­rupt­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion ser­vices. The driver of the ve­hi­cle failed to stop.

Pub­lic uri­nat­ing

At about 1.30am on Sun­day Jan­uary 6, in Steven­son Street, Oban, a man aged 20 uri­nated in the street. Po­lice at­tended and the man was is­sued and with a recorded po­lice warn­ing.

Drunk

At about 8am on Sun­day Jan­uary 6, at McKelvie Road, Oban, a man aged 23 was ar­rested for be­ing found in charge of a ve­hi­cle while un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol. The ve­hi­cle was also not in­sured and not reg­is­tered for road use. The man was later charged and a re­port will be sent to the procu­ra­tor fis­cal.

About 10.20am on Mon­day Jan­uary 7, at Tesco in Oban, a woman’s purse was stolen from the bag pack­ing area. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.
