Between 2pm on Sunday February 3 and 2pm on Sunday February 10, Badnaisla House, near to St Conan’s Kirk in Lochawe village, was broken into and some disco lights stolen.

Between 5pm on Friday February 8 and 9am on Monday February 11, an advertisin­g sign and chains were stolen from outside the premises of MacPhee and Partners, George Street, Oban.

Between 5pm on Tuesday February 12 and 8am on Wednesday February 13 at Mossfield Drive, Oban, a blue Ford Transit van was broken into and two Stanley tool bags containing tools were stolen.

About 4pm on Thursday February 14, a 49-year-old man was traced by police after being seen driving his vehicle on Albany Street, Oban.

The man provided a breath test, was arrested and subsequent­ly a blood sample was taken for analysis.

About 7.15pm on Thursday February 14, on Ardmor Road, Salen, Isle of Mull, a car was stopped and the 50-year-old driver was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The man was charged with the offence and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

About 9.20pm on February 16, a disturbanc­e on board the Glasgow to Oban train was reported to British Transport Police.

A man was understood to have been assaulted after leaving the train at Oban and a 17-year-old male was later traced and charged in relation to the assault and is the subject of a recorded police warning.

About 6.45am on February 17 a man was a seriously assaulted and his vehicle damaged by a man in Sinclair Drive and Stevenson Street, Oban.

This was a violent and unprovoked attack which was witnessed by passers-by. A 25-year-old male was traced by officers and charged in relation to these offences and assaulting a police officer.

During daytime hours of February 16, a number of electrical items were stolen from an insecure house in the Glengallan area of Oban.
