Mull Rally hopes to return for 2019

Mull Rally could be back on the road this year if Holyrood gives new legislation the green light.

The guardians of Mull Rally are working behind the scenes for the possible return of the Mull Rally over the weekend of October 11-13, which would follow the much-loved format that proved so popular over the years.

However, the event’s return

depends on the implementation of a new act being passed through Holyrood.

Transport Scotland recently closed a public consultation period asking for comments which could determine whether motorsport can take place on the public roads. Organisers of the Mull Rally now hope legislation will be passed in time for the rally to return in October.
