Tulloch Homes boost for Camanachd Cup

-

Tulloch Homes is to sponsor the Camanachd Cup for the next four years beginning with the 2019 final in Fort William on Saturday September 14.

The game’s blue riband competition has been sponsored by Tulloch Homes for the past two seasons and the new deal will guarantee continuity and financial security.

George Fraser, chief executive of Tulloch Homes, said: ‘We have successfully concluded negotiations with the Camanachd Association to sponsor the Camanachd Cup until after the 2022 final. This builds on the excellent relationship we’ve established with the association over the past two years. Shinty clubs are often the keystone of the small rural communities in which they are based.’

Mr Fraser, who won eight Camanachd Cup winners’ medals as a player with Newtonmore, added: ‘We’re delighted, through this new agreement, to be able to support the game.’

The big game in September will return to An Aird, Fort William, for the first time since Newtonmore defeated Oban Camanachd 1-0 in the 2016 final.

Keith Loades, president of the Camanachd Association, said: ‘Everyone involved in the sport will benefit from this deal. The Camanachd Association is fortunate to have formed partnerships with companies with such high standards for quality and excellence.’

Derek Keir, chief executive officer of the Camanachd Association, said: ‘We are deeply grateful for the continued support of Tulloch Homes.’
