Your perfect place? Small is definitely beautiful

-

The Grant family, David, Judy and Penny the dog, have just spent a cozy first winter in their new Wee House in Contin.

‘We have only been in the house since last August but winter was very cosy. The insulation in the house is very good; it is all very sound,’ said David.

The couple chose gas central heating for their two-bedroomed cottage-style property from the Wee House Company, adding the bespoke touches of a utility room and a small office to keep both laundry and paperwork firmly in their rightful places.

The Grants had looked at a number of options for their new build, and when on his way to a boat jumble sale in Irvine, David decided to pay a quick call to the Wee House Company offices and show home in Ayrshire.

What he saw impressed him so much that he and Judy came back.

The whole concept appealed and after experiencing the Wee House Company their verdict is ‘delighted’.

‘Obviously there are always little things that you think you might have done differently but are entirely delighted and our advice would be if you want one - go ahead.

‘I really like the look; it looks like an old steading; it sits well within the village. It looks right,’ said David. They also liked the choice of interior fittings and fixtures and the choices of bathroom and kitchen ranges.

The couple were also very impressed with the Wee House Company’s logistics; everything

that the company said would happen did within the agreed timescale.

‘The ground crew arrived and they worked in all weathers,’ said David. ‘We are on the main road in the village so access was no problem and the lorries and the crane arrived on time.

‘The logistics from the office in Ayrshire were fantastic.’
