Fyne Ales gets set to celebrate 10 years of FyneFest!

-

Argyll brewery Fyne Ales will celebrate 10 years of their award-winning family-friendly festival of beer, food, later this year. FyneFest, winner of Beer Event of The Year at the Scottish Beer Awards, takes place at the Fyne Ales brewery estate near Cairndow from May 31-June 3, once again seeing almost 3,000 thirsty festivalgoers visit scenic Glen Fyne to sample beers from the award-winning host brewery and over 50 guest breweries from the UK and Europe. ‘When we held our first FyneFest in 2010, we never anticipated the festival would grow to be such a huge event for us,’ commented Fyne Ales MD Jamie Delap. ‘From 300 people at our first festival to around 3,000 this year, the event has gone from strength-to-strength over the past 10 years, and we can’t wait to celebrate its birthday with attendees this year.’ This year’s festival will celebrate the history of FyneFest with music and beer line-ups featuring a ‘best of’ line-up of artists and breweries. Among the 40 breweries already confirmed for the festival are Oakham, Ashover and Thornbridge, three breweries which had beer pouring at the first FyneFest event plus Verdant, Magic Rock, Fierce Beer and Cloudwater among many others.

Across three stages, a mix of talented local artists, festival regulars and high profile bands will perform, including headliners Bombskare on Saturday June 1. FyneFest also offers kids’ activities, tours, talks, tastings, Glen Fyne walks and food from more than 15 street-food vendors including Loch Fyne Oysters.

Tickets for FyneFest 2018, including discount tickets for those local to the brewery, are on sale now and selling fast. Under-13s and dogs go free, visit www. fynefest.com for all the info and to book.
