Tayvallich Inn is launching a new breakfast service for its customers. The restaurant, overlookin­g Loch Sween in Tayvallich, now has a breakfast offering featuring Lochfyne smoked haddock, Loch Fyne kippers & a full Scottish breakfast in addition to our usual focus on seafood. Owners, Brian and Kathryn Masson, took over the restaurant in 2017 and have expanded their staff, their opening times and their service with a new breakfast offering starting on

30. Long-time fans of the area, Brian and Kathryn have invested heavily in the Inn. Brian said: ‘We had a holiday home here and have been coming here for years and we were given the opportunit­y to take over. Since then we have been developing the premises and food offering.’ Breakfast will be available from 10am seven days a week and will feature a choice of: porridge, homemade granola, warm croissants, full Scottish breakfast as well as a full range of coffees from Matthew Algie. Brian said ‘ We have spent time sourcing high quality produce wherever possible’ The inn’s lunch and dinner menu includes various seafood classics such as West Coast or Shetland mussels, handdived Tayvallich scallops, Sound of Jura langoustin­e as well as a few alternativ­es such as steak and pork belly with traditiona­l Scottish cranachan or banoffee pie amongst the options to finish.

An afternoon menu is available between the full lunch and dinner menu, this includes our classic fish and chips, mussels, langoustin­e and crab along with a choice of salads and lighter options. Tayvallich is popular with locals and tourists, due to its local activities and lovely scenery. Scenery which can be enjoyed from the restaurant of the Tayvallich Inn, with tables looking out over the loch. ‘It’s a beautiful place to visit,’ Kathryn said. ‘It’s a lovely spot that makes you feel like you are on holiday. The area offers a large variety of outdoor activities from beaver spotting, walking, cycling and kayaking.
