Oscar signs for the Hibees

Our picture shows 14-year-old Oscar MacIntyre about to sign pro-youth forms for Hibernian FC in Edinburgh which will see him playing at under-16 level. Also in the picture are Oscar’s father Boyd MacIntyre on the left and former player and now Hibernian head youth coach Gareth Evans.

Oscar joins his younger brother Jacob who is already with Hibernian playing for the under-14s. Jacob and Oscar attend Broughton Academy in Edinburgh under an SFA Football scholarship.

Oscar and Jacob are the grandsons of well-known Oban man Iain MacIntyre (Swallie) who was a founder member of Oban Saints FC and for many years a stalwart for the Oban Camanachd club.

The boys have trained with Oban Saints youths when on holiday in Oban.
