Ferry operator CalMac has taken further steps to highlight service changes during the temporary service arrangemen­ts serving Mull and Iona during the Lochaline pier upgrade work. This follows feedback from the local community. The company wants to alert passengers to the following:

Monday: additional sailing departing Oban 1810, arriving Craignure 1856, then departing Craignure 1910, arriving Oban 1956, operated by Clansman to allow shipment of dangerous goods. Tuesday: no change.

Wednesday: first sailings brought forward and now departing earlier. New sailing times: departing Oban 0645, arriving Craignure 0731, then departing Craignure 0800, arriving Oban 0846. Also an additional sailing has been added for Wednesday evening, departing Oban 1800, arriving Craignure 1846, departing Craignure 1900, arriving Oban 1946. Operated by Clansman to allow shipment of dangerous goods. Thursday: no change. Friday: first sailings brought forward and now departing earlier. New sailing times: departing Oban 0645, arriving Craignure 0731, then departing Craignure 0800, arriving Oban 0846.

Saturday: no change. Sunday: no change.

In addition, CalMac has developed a new page above the normal timetable showing the amended sailings for this service through to December 1.

‘We value feedback and have amended our publicity material accordingl­y to make these temporary arrangemen­ts as clear as possible for passengers,’ said CalMac director of operations Robert Morrison.
