Jacobite Spirits Co is the maker of The 45 Scottish Spiced Rum. We’re not just inspired by the Spirit of Rebellion, we are the Spirit of Rebellion!

Our start-up craft distillery in Glasgow was launched by a group of eight friends united by one idea – making the best rum possible and bringing it to everyone.

On the 275th anniversary of Charlie’s landing at Glenfinnan, it’s a perfect time to highlight the message behind our brand – win or lose, the Spirit of Rebellion can lead to better things.

Let us tell you a bit about The 45. This different and delicious new drink is hand-crafted from scratch, blending the international spices contained in all great spiced rums with a mix of Scottish botanicals – including orange peel, ginger, vanilla, caramel, liquorice and smoked seaweed.

Our customers have told us it’s ‘unique’, ‘lovely’, ‘smooth’, ‘distinctive’, and ‘the best rum I’ve ever had’. We think they know their rum and we’re not going to argue! The 45’s strong flavour profile makes it perfect to drink neat as a sipping rum, or with a robust mixer such as ginger beer. And, with rum’s versatility earning its place as the cocktail partner of choice, The 45 is made for mixology.

As the craft spirits market has expanded, rum has grown faster in recent years than any of its rivals. There’s no doubt that rum is on the rise and we’re delighted to be a Scottish product at the heart of it all.
