Theft from vehicle

A yellow and black pair of Visionary binoculars, a black Jack Wolfskin down jacket and a black Mountain Warehouse body warmer were stolen from an insecure vehicle in the BT car park in Drimvargie Road, Oban, sometime between 3.15pm on Monday December 21 and 8.45am on Tuesday December 29.

Graffiti sprayed

Grafitti was sprayed on the side of a house in Catalina Avenue, Oban, around Thursday December 24. Police are investigat­ing.

Pedal cycle stolen

A red and black Onza Tyke child’s pedal bike was stolen from a communal area at Millpark Terrace, Oban, between Sunday December 20 and Tuesday December 29.

Drugs charge

A woman, aged 43, was charged with possessing cannabis at 9pm on Thursday December 31 in Croft Road, Oban.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Drug driving

A vehicle was stopped by police at 4.50pm on Sunday January 3 on Soroba Road, Oban.

The vehicle, the driver and the passenger, a woman, aged 21, were searched.

The woman was found to be in possession of cannabis and she was issued a recorded police warning. The driver, a man aged 21, was arrested for allegedly failing a roadside drug test. A blood sample was subsequent­ly taken for analysis.
