At 12.30am on Monday January 24 at The Corryvreckan, Railway Pier, Oban, a 21-year-old man allegedly seriously assaulted another man. He was charged with serious assault and was due to appear in court.

Between 9.15pm and 10.15pm on Wednesday January 26 at Oban Police Station, Albany Street, a man, 47, allegedly acted in a racist and homophobic manner towards police officers. He was charged with the offences and kept in custody to appear at court.

At 11.40am on Thursday January 27 at Oban Police Station, a man, 47, allegedly spat at a police officer. He was charged with assault and kept in custody to appear at Oban Sheriff Court.

Between 11pm on Thursday January 27 and noon on Friday January 28, at Shore Street, Oban, it is alleged that a motor vehicle was stolen. Inquiries continue and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact 101 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
