On Saturday January 29 at a pub in Oban, a 51-year-old man assaulted another patron. He was issued with a recorded police warning.

At 12.30am on Sunday January 30 at Creran Gardens, Oban, police carried out checks on a vehicle and allegedly establishe­d it did not have valid insurance. The 73-year-old male driver was charged with the offence. A man, aged 52, was subsequent­ly charged with permitting the vehicle to be driven without insurance. A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

At 10.20pm on Monday January 31 at Kebabish, George Street, Oban, it is alleged a man, 33, committed offences, including threatenin­g or abusive behaviour; racially aggravated behaviour; two counts of assault and vandalism. He was arrested and kept in custody to appear at Oban Sheriff Court.

At 10.30am on Wednesday February 2 on the A828 at North Connel, police stopped a vehicle. The driver, a 47-year-old man, was allegedly found to be driving whilst not wearing a seatbelt, driving without insurance and with incorrect registered keeper details. He was charged and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
