Hospital dentist opens facial aesthetics clinic
Scottish Dental Care Group has plenty to smile about in Oban. The group, which already runs a dental clinic at the town’s Lorn and Isles Hospital, has just launched a new facial aesthetics service.
Facial aesthetics practitioner and award-winning cosmetic dentist Dr Andrew Culbard, who is also Scottish Dental Care Group’s clinical director, recently visited the unit to celebrate the first of the clinics offering people the latest solutions for lines and wrinkles, including dermal fillers to increase lip volume and facial fillers for deeper lines.
The Oban facial aesthetics clinics will be run by experienced dental specialist Dr Martin MacEachen.
Dr MacEachen, senior dentist at the clinic, said: ‘I am excited to be offering this service to patients in Oban, the launch went fantastically well. We intend to run a regular clinic from now on.’
Dentists are highly knowledgeable when it comes to the anatomy of the face and understand how to treat it safely. They also have the skills and experience of administering injections in difficult and restrictive areas and are able to deal with any emergency situations that could occur when carrying out these treatments.
