Reverend Baxter bids farewell as Fort minister
Six years after he was inducted as minister for the Church of Scotland’s Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church in Fort William – now rechristened Fort William Kilmallie – the Reverend Richard Baxter preached his final service on Sunday before heading to a new position in Glasgow.
At the conclusion of proceedings on Sunday, Reverend Baxter, pictured with his wife Sheryl, was presented with a painting of Ben Nevis and a cheque by Mabel Wallace on behalf of the joint congregations, including members of Kilmonivaig. Morag Muirhead also made a presentation to Mrs Baxter.
