WHO IS THIS?

- Oban KAY MCDONALD editor@obantimes.co.uk

Thank goodness we’re at the end of February – the lighter nights and mornings are starting to show, things are starting to grow and the promise of spring is just round the corner.

March is always such a hopeful month where people venture out again and things start to happen.

I’m delighted to note that charity events are taking place again, with quizzes and bingo. Markie Dans have a charity bingo night on Monday March 14 and The View resume their monthly bingo for different charities on Friday March 4, so get your pens at the ready.

The View is also hosting a charity comedy night on Friday March 25, with Gary Little and Wray Thomson, and The Rockfield Centre has a theatre performance called Make Up on Saturday March 12.

With those charity events and more, it’s certainly all kicking off next month and I think you can safely say that there is something to suit almost everyone in that little lot.

Oban What’s On is also back up and running after a little technical hitch, so remember to let us know what you have planned, it’s also a useful way of avoiding events clashing – just look up Oban What’s On online and enter your event details, and if you have any problems call the BID4Oban office on 01631 569915 or email kay@ bid4oban.co.uk and we’ll do our best to publicise your event on the Love Oban Local Facebook page as well as the Oban Town Diary Facebook page.

The last photograph was of Peter Darling of The Dove Centre, a very well kent face around the town. But who is this?
