-

Physiotherapist Fiona Gray has just been welcomed to work with Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership, writes Kathie Griffiths.

Fiona will be living and working on the Isle of Mull where her role will involve assessing, advising and treating patients who have problems relating to pain in muscles, spine or joints.

With more than 18 years’ experience, previously working in Ross-shire, Fiona’s new role as musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist covers all communities on Mull and she will be working closely with GP practices.

Her work will be through a variety of channels, including face-to-face appointments, phone call consultations and discussions around self-management techniques through digital resources.

Originally from a small village in Ross-shire, Fiona moved to Mull with her husband at the end of 2021 and is enjoying settling into island life.

She has always been keen to live near the sea, and was very happy when the job came up.

Fiona said: ‘I’m really enjoying my first few months living and working on Mull.

‘It’s been great to meet so many friendly people while exploring the island; I love being outdoors and discovering lots of good walks.’

Derek Laidler, professional lead physiotherapist at Argyll and Bute HSCP, added: ‘I’m very happy to welcome Fiona to our team.

‘She brings with her a depth of experience and a wide range of physiotherapy skills. She will be a great asset.’
