Seed 4 Life fundraiser

-

A charity helping farmers grow crops and feed children in Malawi is organising a fundraising evening at Seil Island Hall, writes Kathie Griffiths.

Islanders John Sedgwick and Phill Moss will tell how they ended up living on Seil when both of them had worked in different industries around the world. John was involved in the oil industry and Phil worked developing new varieties of seed for growing in non-favourable conditions especially in developing countries.

On the night, there will also be many updates on the excellent progress being made by projects run as part of Seil-based Seed 4 Life.

Updates at the event on Friday March 25 at 7.30pm will include news on the harvest, who has benefited from it, details of new buildings under construction including a warehouse and an outline of future plans.
