Life getting back to normal for Appin SWI

Catriona MacKenzie from Appin SWI (Scottish Women’s Institute) reports that towards the end of 2021 the branch enjoyed two meetings.

One in October was with Tracy Law from the Heritage Bakehouse Oban, and the other was in November with Rena Cameron from Duror.

‘We thought life was getting back to normal. Covid had other ideas - no Christmas parties and no January meeting.’

However things improved in February 2022, with Alison McCorquodale giving a very helpful talk on ‘baking for the show’ and the group were warmly welcomed to the Oyster Inn at Connel where they enjoyed a superb meal and some fun and chat in good company, said Catriona.
