Lochaber stands together with Ukrainian people

Lochaber residents have pulled out all the stops in a bid to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

The on-going bombardment by the Russian forces and the slaughter of innocent civilians continues to shock our communities as we recognise that the Ukrainian people – the families, children, the elderly, they are no different from us.

At the weekend Highlanders showed their care and thoughtfulness when they gathered in Fort William’s parade to stand with the Ukrainians and to protest against the horrific events unfolding in eastern Europe.

Many will no doubt have donated to charities raising money for the aid work in the war zone, and we are sure many more of us will get involved in the days to come.
