VIEW FROM THE CHAMBER

-

March has been the month so far to reconnect, celebrate and remove barriers at Lochaber Chamber of Commerce as the team continues to enjoy hosting face-to-face meetings and events once again.

Thank you to all who were part of making this year’s Outdoor Capital of the UK Tourism Roadshow a success. It was great to catch up with friends and to hear meaningful conversations.

These roadshow events took us to the Boathouse Cafe in Arisaig, The Moorings Hotel, The Ariundle Centre in Strontian, as well as Ballachulish Hotel as part of showcasing tourism in Scottish Tourism Month.

We have a truly excellent opportunity to welcome both domestic and international visitors to Lochaber this spring and summer, let us all make the most of the positive impact that tourism has on the place we live. It’s a magical destination filled with gorgeous landscapes and amazing people, visitors will love to see us and what we can offer.

Tourism hasn’t been our only focus this week. Our hosted DYW West Highland proThings gramme has been busy preparing for an in-person Lochaber Careers Fair taking place tomorrow, Friday March 18, from 1pm at The Nevis Centre. This event will bring together a wide variety of employers, detailing learning and work opportunities, apprenticeships, and a chance to speak to employers directly.

Come along to see what the world of work can offer. You might be a young person or know someone looking to step into a full-time role straight out of school or you could be thinking about new prospects. In either case, everyone is welcome.

Your chamber is working hard to plan other events throughout the year. Keep up-to-date with the latest business news and events by heading to www.lochaberchamber.co.uk or connect with us on social media. We hope to see you soon at one of our open events - be sure to get involved.
