Kinlochleven family day fun in the sun

-

Kinlochleven was blessed with sunshine on Saturday when the community came together for a family fun day.

Hosted by High Life Highland (HLH), there were activities for all ages at the Leven Centre on Riverside Road and on the Kinlochleven 3-18 Campus.

Kinlochleven Community Trust, the Scottish Fire Service, Connecting Careers, Highland Senior Citizens Network and West Highland College took part.

HLH Archives displayed old black and white photographs of people from the community and with residents identifying and naming those in the images.

Organiser John Taylor, High Life Highland Area youth officer, said: ‘The event was a huge success and really well attended. It was fantastic to see the community coming together. The centre was full of life and hearing the conversations was a joy. We were also blessed with glorious sunshine.

'The face painting, bouncy castle and fire engine were a huge hit with the children. It was great to see them smiling and having fun together.

‘A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the day and made it such a success.’

?? ?? Luckily the only water falling on the Kinlochleven Family Fun Day was from a fire hose as Oisin Mimnagh and brother and sister Niall Og and Katie enjoyed target practice watched by Kinlochleven members of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
