Plockton Bowling Club holds AGM

-

Plockton Bowling Club held its annual general meeting on Wednesday March 9 during a short break in its weekly gathering at Plockton High School.

There was a fairly good turnout despite the club, which was formed in 1989, being desperately in need of new members.

Pete Madden was re-elected as chairman; Douglas Hamilton is treasurer and Donald MacKenzie is secretary.

Geoff Harrington stood down as club captain and the meeting put its trust in the younger members of the club by installing Annan Dryburgh and Douglas Cameron as joint captains.

The club meets in the high school from 7pm - 9pm on Wednesdays during the winter until the end of March, then resumes on the outdoor green on a Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm from mid April. A warm welcome will be given to new members.
