The Bute seconds were 4-2 winners against the Aberdour seconds in their 12.30pm throw-up at the Meadows.

Veteran Iain McDonald gave the islanders the lead on eight minutes, with Craig Speirs adding a second on 15 minutes.

With Rory McDonald on 25 minutes and Neil McKirdy on 34 minutes, Bute looked out of sight.

Aberdour rallied though and Logan Adam struck twice on 39 and 62 minutes to make the final score 4-2.
