Sing Mor sings for Ukraine

As a contribution to the Highland Weekend of Action for Ukraine, Sing Mor community choir members Mandy Ketchin and Gay Anderson went out busking in the town last Saturday in Cameron Square and on The Parade. They were singing to raise funds for the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) charity’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

They sang six sets of songs throughout the day, which included songs of peace, solidarity and resilience, songs for better times, and a traditional Ukrainian lullaby.

Gay and Mandy were very grateful for help and support on the street from David, Spike, Charlotte, Duncan, Marian and Valerie.

Thanks to the generosity of passers-by, they raised a total of £382.22. With one or two more donations still to come in, the final total is expected to be over £400.
