VIEW FROM THE CHAMBER

-

The Chamber hosted its second Business Breakfast this week, at Highland Soap Company Visitor Centre and Larder Café, with excellent service, tasty breakfast rolls and a hot brew to round things off.

It’s great to see local businesses looking for ways to collaborate, innovate and remain as purposeful as possible in the current climate.

On that note, did you know the Chamber’s business network can support your new or existing business to thrive and make contact with domestic and international markets?

Through our international trade portfolio, we have met with and introduced companies to North America and Canada with many other territories, linking up through the wider Scottish Chambers of Commerce network.

These success stories confirm that being purposeful and reaching out can bring great benefit to organisations, new ideas, cementing of knowledge and building new, and meaningful relationships to help build a warm story around your product. The customer is also key in this process, augmenting business relationships, to provide an emotional connection to product, experience and your brand.

What has been encouraging throughout the last few weeks of reintroducing in-person events to our calendar is to see and hear how local brands and businesses are providing authenticity with their product – whether that’s the brand story, community connection or more. We’re encouraged to see this behaviour in Lochaber and we’re hopeful visitors will experience this on their next excursion to the Outdoor Capital of the UK.

Have you looked to connect with local businesses? Have you thought about how you’ll be innovating or perhaps looking at sustainable practices or technologies?
