O’Connells’ Easter eggstravaganza raises lots of smiles in Caol
For many children in Caol, Easter Sunday means a trip to the home of the O’Connells in Glenpane Street, writes Fiona Scott.
For several years the community minded family have turned their garden into an Easter grotto, dressing up as giant Easter Bunnies, chickens and even the Mad Hatter to hand out chocolate eggs and Easter gifts, brightening up the day for children of all ages.
Many local businesses also lend their support to the venture by donating a number of products especially for those with allergies to ensure everyone is catered for.
There was also plenty of Easter fun at the Lochaber Rugby Club, where giant fluffy bunnies led a hunt for chocolate eggs hidden around the park.
