Community council

Among the items discussed at the March meeting of Plockton and District Community Council were:

Duncan Gass, Duncraig Castle, was co-opted onto the council in place of Dave Mcghie, who resigned for health reasons.

Numerous road matters were discussed, including a sign to stop campervans going along Harbour Street. Highland Council promised all matters would be dealt with by Easter.

Plockton’s first user-friendly parking meter has been installed in the car park. Councillor Biz Campbell said 50 per cent of money from parking charges is put back into the community.

Martin Bliss was appointed an associate member of the community council, representing local fisherman.
