I stand at this election with a strong record representing Oban and Lorn. Council budgets and plans that I have voted for have seen subsidies towards 397 affordable homes locally and over £5 million spent towards roads resurfacing and reconstruction here over the last five years.

If re-elected I will continue to prioritise protecting public services, and use opportunities such as the Rural Growth Deal to diversify and improve the resilience of the economy in our area as we all transition to a more sustainable future.

Using the freedom I have as an Independent councillor I will work with others from all parties and none, be they community activists, fellow councillors or governments in Westminster and Holyrood.

My commitment is to listen to you as the electorate - through my ongoing attendance at community councils and responding to individual queries. I do not shy away from making necessary decisions, but also reflecting on issues raised such as with the Education Change Programme.
