Corners evening at SWI
The penultimate meeting of the season for members of the Appin branch of the Scottish Women’s Institute was a Corners Evening in March.
Debbie Dunlop was in one corner demonstrating and helping with crochet while Janet Fairbairn was in the other corner with her spinning wheels - and infinite patience - encouraging everyone to relax and let the wheel spin.
This most enjoyable evening ended with a cuppa. The last evening of the 2021-2022 session in April was a combination of the annual general meeting and a themed party night.
This year, with it being the Queen’s platinum jubilee - 70 years on the throne - members enOban
joyed a celebration, with delicious fish suppers and nostalgic games.
With a new committee in place, branch members are ready to enjoy the summer and look forward to a new session in the autumn.
