Thomas MacLennan: Independent
I have lived in Ward 21 Fort William and Ardnamurchan all my life and my wife and I have raised three children here.
I have also been elected to Highland Council twice before and served as the leader of Lochaber Area Committee between 2013 and 2017.
As Lochaber has lost all its experienced councillors, I have decided to seek re-election as a lack of councillor experience will be exploited in Inverness to the absolute limit.
As a local Independent candidate, I do not have a big team or budget of a political party to help me. But I will be here to represent your interests, long after election day and not a political party and all their agendas.
My track record is where money can be made available then I will do everything in my power to make sure it is spent in Lochaber. Whether it was getting new schools, a new Belford Hospital site, new council headquarters in Fort William or freeing up sites to provide new council homes, by working with other councillors these and other projects were successfully delivered.
There are four political party candidates and only one local Independent candidate in this election, so if you want a determined and experienced Independent councillor to represent you on Highland Council give me your number one vote and vote Thomas MacLennan one.
