Lochaber Model Show draws big crowds following Covid hiatus

-

The first Lochaber Model and Craft Show since the start of the Covid pandemic drew a big crowd to the Nevis Centre, Fort William, on Saturday.

Organiser Robert Wilson said guest judges, Ally and Jill Ferguson, were ‘blown away' by the range and quality of exhibits on show but opted for the display by the Meccano Society of Scotland as their overall winner.

A delighted Mr Wilson said: ‘The show was well-attended with good feedback from many of the visitors.

‘If all the sponsorship money comes in, we could be

£3,000.

‘From this we have expenses - hall, advertising, table hire - and we have also decided to buy another 10 tables, but even with this we should be looking at charity donations totalling about £1,800.' close to taking in a record
