Water problems hit Benderloch
Hundreds of properties in Benderloch and Tralee Bay have been hit by water supply problems.
The first of two unconnected incidents was on Monday afternoon when Scottish Water received reports of no water supply affecting around 480 properties.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: ‘Our team attended the site and investigations identified a failed valve at the Lochnell School entrance in Benderloch. A temporary repair was carried out and supplies were restored by around 8.30pm.’
Contractors completed a permanent repair the next morning but in an unrelated incident over Monday night, there was a burst on a small main near Tigh a Clachair, also in Benderloch. Supplies to about 20 affected properties were eventually restored by 7.30am on Tuesday.
