FIFW Sunday matches see 61 goals netted

-

Football in Fort William (FIFW) was back in force on Sunday after a second break for an Old Firm match - these postponements meaning that the event is now only in week five of a planned 12-week run of matches.

An incredible 61 goals were chalked up in the evening as the teams battled it out at the Nevis Centre with exceptional attacking skill, with the Goon Squad scoring a total of 11 against Christmas Crackers, who themselves put away a very respectable five.

Lochaber Rangers, who fielded for the first time a father alongside his two teenage sons, put up a tremendous fight against Lochaber Rugby, composed almost entirely of former Fort William FC players to score three against their winning nine.

SLT Galacticos continued their winning form, being the only unbeaten side and pulling off an amazing

9-0 victory against a very strong showing from TSL to maintain their place at the top of the League Table with the Goon Squad and BSW Sawmill in second and third places. Results: Lochaber Rangers 3, Lochaber Rugby 9; BSW Sawmill 6, AMP 1; SLT Galacticos 9, TSL 0; Hamilton Alkies 2, Seagull City 2; The Goon Squad 11, Christmas Crackers 5; Kinlochleven FC 9, Fort Ballers 4.
