All aboard for the 35th Mull 7s

All waterways lead to Garmony on Saturday as Isle of Mull RFC prepare to host the ‘world’s most sociable 7s’.

Sixteen men’s teams and eight ladies’ teams will compete in respective competitio­ns with the aim of being crowned 2022 Mull 7s’ champions.

Visiting teams this year include Stirling County, Boroughmui­r, Crieff and Strathearn, Highland, Isle of Coll, Northern Warriors, Hamilton, Hillhead Jordanhill, Scots Shawlands, Hearts + Balls Mighty Bovs, Uddingston and Dunfermlin­e One Ton Titans.

They will face stiff opposition from

Mull, Oban Lorne and Lochaber.

For the local ladies, Isle of Mull and Oban Lorne, opposition will come from Inverness Craig Dunain, Stirling County, Uddingston Selkies, Hearts and Balls Charitable Trust, Cartha Queens Park and Hillhead Jordanhill.
