Woodlands Glencoe team in running for top business award
Lochaber business Woodlands Glencoe – a former Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) UK Small Business of the Year – has been shortlisted again for the 2023 awards.
As happens every year, the Highlands and islands has performed very well so far in this year’s FSB Scotland Celebrating Small Business Awards.
Following its outstanding success in the 2021 awards, where it won first the FSB Scotland Business and Product Innovation Award heat, then the overall UK Business and Product Innovation Award, before going on to be crowned overall FSB UK Small Business of the Year, the Ballachulishbased team is back in the running again. A passionate family business dedicated to creating luxury experiences while also nurturing the land in a sustainable and considerate way, Woodlands Glencoe has been shortlisted this year for the Sustainability Award.
This award is designed to recognise the most ethical, socially responsible, or green business. Judges will be looking for businesses that can highlight their main sustainability achievements, demonstrate how they have made an invaluable contribution to their business, and showcase how they are helping to drive wider progress in the green economy.
Wishing Woodlands Glencoe well, the Federation of Small Businesses’ Highlands and Islands development manager,
David Richardson, said: “To be shortlisted once is a true test of quality given the amazing businesses that apply for our FSB Awards, and to do so well the first time round was amazing, but to be back in the frame this year is magnificent.
“Best of luck to the Young family next week – they work really hard and imaginatively, and win or lose they have a business to be proud of.”
Wednesday March 8 will see Woodlands Glencoe join 69 businesses from right across Scotland at the FSB Scotland Celebrating Small Business Awards 2023 lunch in Glasgow’s voco Grand Central Hotel.
Eleven business awards plus a community award will be presented on the day. Visit www. fsbawards.co.uk/categories.
