Gaelic pupils are a big draw for shinty cup quarter finals

Pupils from Lochaber Gaelic School made the 2023 cottages.com MacTavish Cup quarter-final draw on Monday.

The draw was conducted by Freya and Fraser from BunSgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar while the whole school were kitted out with t-shirts, bags, caps and water bottles emblazoned with the cottages. com MacTavish Cup logo as a reward for their help.

In an exciting and competitiv­e draw, the first two names out of the hat were Lovat and Kingussie in what is set to be a great match. The drama continued as the second tie will see Skye drawn away to Beauly.

Elsewhere, Glenurquha­rt will make the trip to Inverness while the final tie out of the hat saw Lochaber paired at home against Newtonmore.
